The truth about ventilation
While having a soundproof booth is great, it’s not going to get used much if it gets stuffy inside and you won’t get the most from your investment. Note that temperature and CO₂ levels affect concentration too, so good ventilation is essential. If the air within the booth is replaced every 30–40 seconds, you should have a place that’s equally good for quick calls or longer work sessions.
Fan power
Virtually every soundproof phone booth in the market uses fans to power their ventilation, but there’s a huge variance on how they do it.
The best booths will use two or three fans; the cheapest may try to get away with just the one. Higher-quality booths have more fans for two reasons: they want to ensure a healthy supply of fresh air to keep it comfortable, and the soundproofing measures mentioned earlier restrict the flow of air and thus need more fan power to keep the air flowing through the system.
